In the game
Open Road MP runs inside the normal game. Nothing in your game folder is changed and your save game is left alone.
Their truck, not a stand-in
The others drive what they really own: model, paint job, accessories and trailer, with lights, wipers and number plate.
Smooth driving
Positions are buffered and interpolated, so trucks next to you move steadily instead of jumping.
Safe zones at companies
In company yards trucks drive through each other - nobody blocks the gate or the dock.
One account, one ID
Players sign in once with their Open Road MP account, linked to Steam - every server knows who is who.
Chat and name tags
Chat on the game's chat key, name tags over the trucks. F9 opens this menu, also while driving.
Your own server
One program for Windows or Linux and one config file. Open UDP port 42420 and it is in the list above.
Rules for everyone
Police, fines, traffic, fatigue, fuel, weather, pay - players see them as chips before they join.
Live map
Every player on a map in the browser, served by the server itself.
Mods and DLCs
Workshop mods are fetched for your players; map DLCs can be required.
Console
Kick, ban, broadcast and change rules while it runs.

Gamemodes in TypeScript
Hand out jobs, set money, send mails, add chat commands, switch the game's job markets off - and build windows the game draws with the same components as this menu.
